Road Construction Update
Access to Dog Sports at Kim’s via the Kingshighway exit from I-64 is now blocked for construction. Instead, take exit 9 (Caseyville) to Illinois 157. Turn left and proceed about half a mile to Bunkum Road. Turn left on Bunkum and drive 1.9 miles to Dog Sports at Kim’s on the left.
Because of ongoing construction on Bunkum, it is closed to through traffic. If the road is blocked, the construction workers will let you through when you explain that you are coming here. You may have to wait a few minutes to allow them to clear the road for you to pass.
• No agility classes next Thursday, 8-30.

Dog Sports at Kim’s mourns the passing of Lorraine Linder, whose ferocious fight against cancer inspired us all.
We send our condolences
to her family, especially her
husband, Kelly; her
daughter Amanda,

Moore, and her son,

Karma, Brina, and Ernie.
Lorraine was a treasured
part of the DSK community,
and we will miss her greatly.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 7th, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church at 6606 West Main Street in Belleville. A memorial service will be held the following day, Sunday, July 8th, at 3 p.m., also at Calvary Evangelical Lutheran.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis.

We’re eager to welcome you and your dogs back to DSK as soon as possible! The Illinois Department of Commerce has advised us that group classes aren’t allowed yet. Still, we hope to be able to reopen soon, so we’ve put together a plan to protect everyone’s health and safety once we do.
First, we'll follow recommended disinfecting protocols by using hydrogen peroxide (which is EPA recommended for coronavirus) to disinfect floors and bleach to disinfect bathrooms and door handles. We plan to provide soap in all bathrooms and hand sanitizer throughout the building. You're also welcome to bring your own hand sanitizer if you like.
Everyone will be required to observe physical distancing mandates by maintaining six feet of separation at all times. Whenever maintaining physical distancing is difficult — while walking courses, for instance — everyone will be required to wear a mask.
You'll be allowed to handle only your own dog(s), leads, etc. You may bring your own crate and chair, but you won’t be able to use other people’s crates or chairs.
Equipment changes (bar setting, for instance) will be done by designated individuals only.
Finally, we plan to schedule ten minutes between classes so that people can enter and exit the building without cross traffic. You’ll enter the building only when it’s time for your class, and only one person per dog will be allowed inside the building, so no extra family members at this time.
Keep checking back, because we’ll open as soon as we’re allowed to. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
